[ The fabric of time and space is not something that is easily torn. The trans-reality comet is, in and of itself, an extreme rarity. Those sorts of things don't just happen en masse or in rapid succession. But Voltron heeds to the distress calls of any and all who need help. So when a space station supposedly disappeared in a sudden blip--without the normal pulse of gravity one would associate with the appearance and hunger of a black hole--they had no idea what to expect.
But it wasn't this.
Allura remembers seeing the sudden flash of light in front of her as she stood at the helm of the Castle. She remembers feeling sound itself drain away around her as a mix of weightlessness overtook her, only to be replaced by a sudden heavy pull of gravity beyond anything that the Castle was capable of replicating.
Then it all disappeared.
She hits the ground with a thud--ground, earthy ground. Dirt and grass cling to her hair, but her flight suit is used to taking more than little grime. She winces as she pushes herself upwards, opening her eyes to-- ]
Wh--
[ To a vast jungle, stretching beyond the cliff she apparently landed on, painted in the dying light of dusk. ]

[When you end up spinning through open air? Hitting several trees on the way down? That is way less normal. And, you know, painful. But he's still got armor on, at least.]
[Ending the free fall upside down is... well. It's more embarrassing than it is anything else. He's got his foot hooked into some vine or branch, dangling there with a yelp of shock and protest. Where are the others? Where--?]
Allura!
[Her hair makes her more visible against the leaves and dirt on the ground, if nothing else.]

Shiro!?
[ Where did that come from? She looks about frantically until she sees that she needs to turn her gaze upwards. Allura's eyes widen. ]
Hold on! I'm coming.
[ First things first--get him down, figure out where they are second. Allura pushes herself up to her feet with a grimace, already feeling the ache in her muscles and bones from the landing. But she's in one piece and nothing seems to be broken, which is all that matters right now. She manages to make her way over to the tree that Shiro's entangled in. ]
Can you loosen that vine? I'll catch you.
no subject
[He doesn't feel hurt, anyway. Embarrassed and... well. He's upside down, so all the blood is rushing to his head. But he doesn't feel hurt.]
Are you okay!
[That's clearly more important here. As important as figuring out where they are. If Allura's hurt, then she should sit down and rest. Right? But he nods to her, bending upward to hack at the vine with the flat of his hand.]
[Hey, at least they'll have something to start a fire with.]
Got it! Working on it...
[And trusting her to absolutely catch him when he finishes cutting through the plant...]

[ Really, as fine as she can be given the circumstances. But she's also not hanging upside down and the blood is not rushing to her head. So Shiro's situation is arguably more dire. Her arms are already out and ready when he starts to try and free himself of the vines.
And as soon as he drops? ]
I've got you!
[ She follows through. Allura catches him, only stumbling a step, holding him up bridal style. ]
no subject
[It's just a vine. So it's not going to put up much of a resistance to his hand. He glances down a couple times, just to be sure. But he really didn't need to worry.]
Incoming!
[Because he's falling. Right into her arms. And once it's clear they're both unharmed and coherent, he has to laugh a little. Almost deliriously.]
... Ten points for Allura.

I didn't realize we were keeping score.
[ She carefully maneuvers him so that he can put his weight back into his feet, but doesn't let go until he gives the affirmative. ]
Can you stand?
no subject
[What with her saving him (again) and all.]
[He nods, at her question, but keeps a hand on her shoulder for a few moments, regardless.]
Yeah, I'm not hurt. [His eyes flick over her, to check and see if she is, too.] Any idea where we wound up...?
no subject
I'm not sure...there weren't any planets nearby that fit this description--at least none that were logged in the Castle's database.
[ Allura taps one of her earrings. ]
Coran? Can you hear me?
[ A long pause. ]
Coran! Anyone? This is Allura, requesting immediate assistance.
[ Nothing. She frowns. ]
Either my earrings were damaged in our descent or the Castle is out of range.
no subject
[And while she's trying her earrings, he'll try his helmet. It can't hurt -- maybe it'd even end up boosting the signal somehow.]
[But his queries are met with as much silence as her own.]
I'm not getting anyone either. The Castle's got to be too far out. [Which... bodes poorly for their situation.]
Hopefully they can track us somehow.
